The orange swordfish is commonly called a "Pumpkin
Sword".
It is thought that the color of the flesh is obtained due to naturally
occurring carotene's in the prey. The orange flesh color can be attributed to
the ingestion of shrimp and/or squid.
The blood line appears to remain quite
ordinary in appearance. There appears be no difference in quality when compared
to normal sword. It may actually have a slightly sweeter taste to it.
